the drake's 1st annual christmas spectacular!

I know, very behind on this blogging! I enjoyed my Christmas break so so much, that I didn't even think about want to blog! :) Joseph and I had a wonderful first Christmas together. It was so much fun decorating the house, which we did BEFORE thanksgiving, cooking holiday treats, wrapping presents and listening to Christmas music non-stop! Joseph was so happy when December 26 came, so we could go back to "normal" music. He has a tendency to be a little grinch-y, but that's why I love him. We chose to celebrate our Christmas the Saturday (Dec 19) before actual Christmas. We woke up that morning...
Brewed delicious coffee, which was one of my Christmas presents, Christmas blend Starbucks coffee, my fave..
Drank mimosas, its ok it was like 10:30 am, maybe...
cooked a delicious, big breakfast! The menu was breakfast casserole (pictured above), homemade cinnamon bread (recipe by Ree, PWC!), hash browns, and grits!  Then...
Read Luke 2 (no we don't have it memorized), and poor Joseph burned his hand, badly, while we were cooking, notice white towel wrapped around his hand.
 and opened presents!!!
We had stockings full of candy, which is all gone now! Wow didn't even take us a whole month to finish. We both love candy. Yes, we will be the best grandparents ever. First we'll have to be parents...

Joseph/we got a grill.

Joseph gave me a candle. I love candles.
He also gave me a very nice Seiko watch. I was super surprised!
I gave him a nice set of ear phones and fishing gear, to fish in our front yard!

It was such a great Christmas, and I hope to have many more to come with him. Later that day, we bought a coffee table, which my grandparents gave us.
Really small, because I took it from my phone.

On our way home we got stopped by the cops, got a speeding ticket (awesome), came home and set up the grill, grilled steaks, had a wonderful meal with fine china used for the very first time, and topped off the night by watching Its a Wonderful Life! Which really, it is!
